Chaplaincy
Since 2015, I have been honored to serve as a credentialed Community Service Chaplain with the International Fellowship of Chaplains (IFOC). The Lord has given me opportunities to minister in places both familiar and unexpected—from my own neighborhood and local senior care facilities to celebration of life services, remote tracking stations, and aboard ships on the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Each opportunity has reinforced a simple truth: people don’t always need someone with all the answers; they need someone willing to care, to listen, to pray, and to remind them that they are not alone.
Teaching and Speaking
For much of my professional career, I served as a technical instructor, teaching advanced radar, communications, and test range instrumentation to engineers and technicians. Those years taught me not only the importance of clear communication, but also the privilege of standing before others to share knowledge that could make a difference.
Today, that same passion has found an even greater purpose in ministry. I have been blessed with opportunities to encourage and teach in a variety of settings, including speaking to military veterans at a local senior care facility and sharing monthly messages at a local men’s fellowship. Whether opening God’s Word, sharing lessons learned through life’s journey, or simply offering encouragement, my desire is always the same—to point others toward the hope, wisdom, and faithfulness found in Jesus Christ.
If the Lord opens the door, I welcome opportunities to speak with churches, men’s groups, retreats, and community organizations. My desire is simply to encourage others through God’s Word and by sharing the lessons He has faithfully taught me along life’s journey.
Whether speaking to a congregation, a men’s fellowship, or a community gathering, my hope is that every message leaves people with a deeper trust in God’s Word and practical encouragement for the road ahead.
Engineering for Jesus
For more than forty years, the Lord allowed me to build a career in engineering, working with advanced radar systems, communications, information technology, and America’s space and defense programs. Looking back, I can now see that He was preparing me not only for a profession, but also for a ministry.
Today, I have the privilege of using those same skills to serve churches, ministries, missionaries, and Christian organizations. Whether providing technical guidance for Christian radio stations, assisting with information technology, strengthening cybersecurity, developing websites, or simply helping ministries solve technical challenges, my desire is to use the gifts the Lord has entrusted to me for His glory.
One of the greatest joys of this ministry is partnering with pastors and ministry leaders who have been called to proclaim the Gospel. By helping remove technical obstacles, I hope to enable them to focus more fully on the work God has called them to do.
Through RKL Tech Services, my wife Kate and I are committed to serving ministries with excellence, integrity, and a servant’s heart, believing that even technical skills can become instruments for advancing God’s Kingdom.
